Guardando al futuro Una struttura che integra tutti i comfort di un bagno moderno, collocabile ovunque il pudore lo permetta e in qualsiasi spazio sufficientemente ampio. Slice è il bagno del futuro, una cellula-bagno indipendente ma che diventa parte integrante dello spazio in cui viene inserita: non un mobile, non un angolo bensì un tutt’uno con l’ambiente. “Morbido nei profili, avvolgente nelle forme, al suo interno ci si sente proiettati in un’altra dimensione… eppure siamo lì a pochi centimetri da tutto il resto ma se nonostante tutto ci sentissimo soli… qualche pesce rosso può sempre farci compagnia”. Questa la descrizione di Sabrina Tetrao, l’architetto che ha realizzato questo curioso progetto avanguardistico: il bagno è costituito da una struttura interamente rivestita in Corian®, che contiene e nasconde tubi idraulici e collegamenti elettrici. La vasca anatomica, la doccia e il lavabo sono ricavati all’interno della struttura stessa, mentre i sanitari sono da semincasso in ceramica.
La vaschetta del water è costituita da una vasca in vetro aperta superiormente e collegata al water tramite una tubatura nascosta; lo svuotamento della vasca non sarà mai completo per non lasciare mai i pesci rossi a “secco”. Vetri traslucidi completano la struttura, chiudendo lateralmente la vasca e fungendo da ante per la doccia e per i vani porta oggetti e biancheria. Due faretti ad incasso sono sistemati nel rivestimento superiore, uno specchio e un televisore al plasma sono collocati ai due lati interni. Dalla parte opposta dei sanitari trova posto una morbida seduta rivestita in tessuto spugnoso con a lato dei cassetti porta oggetti. Anche il poggiatesta della vasca è rivestito dello stesso materiale e nasconde la suo interno un altro vano per i flaconi. Un taglio nella parete della doccia permette il doppio utilizzo di prodotti sopra sistemati. L’altezza della struttura completa è di 250 cm, la pianta misura 80 cm di profondità e 580 cm di larghezza. Se la struttura dovesse essere chiusa da “quattro mura” bisognerebbe aggiungere 80 cm per lato in profondità per un totale di 240 cm x 580 cm. L’area totale risulterebbe di meno di 14 mq.
Slice is the bathroom of the future. It is an independent bathroom unit that becomes an integral part of its setting. ‘Soft edges and enveloping forms inside of which one is projected into another dimension… and although being just a few centimetres from the rest of the home one feels alone… the odd goldfish can always keep us company’, says Sabrina Tetrao, the architect who came up with this curious futuristic project. The bathroom is made of a structure completely covered in Corian®, which conceals pipes and circuitry. The anatomic tub, the shower and the washbasin are all inside the structure itself, whereas the ceramic sanitary fixtures are semi built-in. The small toilet tank is made of a glass bowl opened at the top and connected to the toilet bowl by concealed tubing; flushing will never be complete so as always to leave water for the goldfish.
Translucent glass completes the structure, closing the bathtub on the sides and acting as a panel for the shower and the linen and accessory shelf. There are two built-in spotlights at the top, with a mirror and flat-screen television on the two inner sides. Opposite the sanitary fixtures there is a comfortable seat covered in a sponge material with accessory drawers on the sides. The headrest of the bathtub is made of the same material; it conceals another compartment in which to put bottles. A cut in the wall of the shower enables a double utilisation of the articles above. The height of the entire structure is 250 cm.; it has a depth of 80cm and is 580 cm. wide.
