Schermare la vetrina di un negozio o di un esercizio commerciale può apparire a prima battuta un processo semplice. In realtà per defi nire la corretta tipologia di elemento schermante da utilizzare nella vetrina i fattori che condizionano la scelta sono molteplici. Tra questi, probabilmente quelli determinanti sono: luce e colore.
Anzitutto, è fondamentale individuare il carattere geografi co della zona in cui si interviene: la luce di una città dal clima mediterraneo in prossimità del mare con atmosfere più calde è differente da quella presente in una zona di alta montagna in cui la luce più nitida e delicata crea atmosfere quasi rarefatte, piuttosto che nella pianura in cui la luce è più diffusa. La luce, attore fondamentale nella scelta della tipologia di tenda, offrire così atmosfere differenti che è possibile variare a seconda dello effetto che si vuole ottenere. Qui entra in gioco il secondo elemento, ovvero il colore connesso fortemente con la tipologia del negozio. È chiaro che la vetrina di un negozio di alimentari o di abbigliamento
dovrà cercare di mantenere una cromia della luce neutra o che metta in risalto alcuni aspetti caratteristici del prodotto in vetrina rispetto ad altri settori, in cui questo rapporto è meno presente.
Qui il colore della tenda ha una funzione fondamentale, poiché la luce, fi ltrata dal tessuto della tenda stessa, acquisisce un carattere proprio che condiziona fortemente l’aspetto che assume la vetrina stessa e i prodotti che sono esposti. Ultimo, ma non meno importante, è la funzione di invito e comunicazione che la tenda offre ai passanti, mediante la presenza di scritte, marchi e loghi impresse sulla tenda stessa. È quindi il primo elemento di contatto del negozio con i passanti e svolge una vera e propria funzione di invito ad esso, in cui la vetrina stessa è valorizzata, fornendo
sia una protezione dal caldo sole estivo che dalla pioggia nei periodi autunnale ed invernale. (R.F.S.)

Above all, it is fundamentally important to identify the geographical character of the area affected, light in a city with a Mediterranean climate near the sea with a warmer atmosphere is obviously different from that in mountainous regions where the light that is clearer and more delicate creates almost rarefied atmospheres rather than on the plain where the light is more diffuse. Light, fundamental actor in the process of choosing the type of blind, can therefore provide different atmospheres that can be varied according to the effect one wants to achieve. It is clear that the window of a food or clothing shop has to try to keep a neutral light colour scheme or that highlights some characteristics of the product in the window compared with other sectors where this relationship is less important. Here the colour of the blind plays a fundamental role because the light, filtered by the fabric of the said blind takes on a character of its own that strongly conditions the appearance that the window itself and the products on display there assume. Last but not least is the inviting and communicating function the blind with regards to passers by, through the writing, signs and logos on said blind. It is therefore the first element of contact that the shop has with the passers by and it performs a real and function in inviting them into the shop where the window itself is shown off in its best light, providing both protection from the heat of the summer sun and the winter and autumnal rains.
