Originali finestre a triangolo si aprono sullo splendido panorama della catena del Monte Bianco.
Original triangular windows face the splendid view of the Chain of Monte Bianco.
È particolarmente stimolante arredare una mansarda in mon tagna. Soffitti inclinati, travoni a vista e lucernari sembrano esaltare il senso di calore e intimità tipico dell’arredo in stile alpino e la casa sembra meglio inserita nella natura circostante. Per sfruttare lo spazio a disposizione è, però, necessario organizzarlo con molta attenzione e, spesso, i mobili vanno realizzati su misura. Così è stato anche nel caso di questa mansarda, in cui mobili originali dell’ottocento sono stati sapientemente accostati a mobili fatti da un artigiano di Aosta ed a tanti piccoli oggetti tipici dell’artigianato locale.
It is very stirring to furnish a loft in the mountains. Sloping ceilings, beams at sight and skylights that highlight the warmth and intimacy atmosphere typical of the alpine style furnishing and the house seems to be better inserted in the surrounding nature. To utilize the available space it is necessary to organize it very carefully and often furniture must be customized. In fact, the furniture of this loft are of 19th century and have been wisely combined with furniture made by an Aosta artisan and with many small objects of the local handicraft.

Arredi di grande valore, accostati ad oggetti d’arte povera, arredano con raffinata eleganza questa mansarda, esaltando i valori della tradizione locale.
Very valuable furnishings combined with handiwork furnish with refined elegance this mansard, highlighting local tradition values.
Il soggiorno è reso piacevolmente articolato da un soppalco realizzato con vecchie travi di recupero sotto il quale è stata creata un’invitante zona conversazione intorno ad un suggestivo camino in pietra e legno. Per la pavimentazione di questa zona della casa sono stati utilizzati listoni di larice russo cerato, protetti da antichi tappeti caucasici. Il tavolo posizionato al centro del locale è francese, in stile savoiardo. Tra oggetti di valore trovano posto anche oggetti tipici valdostani appartenenti alla tradizione contadina, quali una slitta, un giogo per buoi e varie grolle. Vecchie porte in noce dividono tra loro i vari ambienti.
The living room is very articulated due to a mezzanine made with old salvaged beams, under which was created a welcoming conversation corner around a suggestive fireplace in stone and wood. Waxed Russian larch woodblocks were used for the flooring of this part of the house and protected by Caucasian ancient carpets. The table, located in the center of the room, is French of Savoy style. Among the precious objects there are also local Valdaosta objects of country tradition, such as a sledge, an ox yoke and different wooden cups. Old chestnut doors divide the different rooms.

SISTEMI PER DARE ARIA E LUCE NEI SOPPALCHI-SOTTOTETTO
Luce ed aria possono trasformare un sottotetto. Le misure dell’apertura dipendono dal rapporto aeroilluminante fissato dalla normativa. Per le finestre da tetto, la superficie vetrata deve essere un decimo di quella calpestabile. Per un agevole e sicuro utilizzo delle finestre, l’altezza da terra del bordo inferiore del serramento deve essere di 100 cm, mentre il lato superiore dovrà essere a 180/200 cm dal pavimento.
LIGHTING AND VENTILATION SYSTEMS FOR ATTIC LOFT
Light and ventilation can change the aspect of a loft. The measures of the opening depend on the ventilation-lighting ratio fixed by regulations. For roof windows, the glass area must be one tenth of the living area. For a practical and safe use of windows, the height from the floor of the lower side of the fixtures must be 100 cm, while the upper side must be 180/200 cm from the floor. |
I soffitti inclinati, che caratterizzano le mansarde, non solo ne condizionano l’arredamento, ma spesso anche la scelta del tipo di finestre. Ne è un esempio la particolare forma triangolare di alcuni serramenti di questa abitazione, studiati in modo da lasciare entrare la luce del sole anche là dove non era possibile aprire una finestra tradizionale. Nella camera, una finestrella triangolare, arricchita da un tenda sapientemente drappeggiata, funge da testata per il letto matrimoniale.
Sloping ceilings, which feature mansards, not only affect their furnishing but often also the choice of the windows type. An example is the particular triangular shape of some fixtures of this house, studied in order to let
the sunlight in also where it was not possible to open a traditional window. In the room a small triangular window enriched of a draped curtain, is used as headboard of the double bed.
