“Concerning my creations as luxury objects, it was said – quoting a movie by Buñuel – that they represent “the discreet charm of the high bourgeoisie”. Others referred to the “theater of cruelty” by Antonin Artaud. Actually, when I start to think about the shape of a new object, I feel like I’m running after a story that is going through my mind. When the design is complete, the story is no longer interesting for me, because it only served as a structure. The only thing that matters is the object I created from it, which must be communicative, sensitive, erotic and extremely luxuriant.”
