Stefania Pizzolato e Pietro Villorio Un’attento progetto di recupero ha trasformato una casa milanese dei primi del secolo, in un’abitazione affascinante dotata di tutti i comfort e arricchita con tagli architettonici particolari. Pezzi d’arredo antichi si fondono con elementi moderni creando una casa dall’atmosfera intima e raccolta. Il bagno è stato ottenuto modificando in parte l’assetto planimentrico e inglobando un tratto del lungo corridoio in modo da formare un antibagno atipico. Una finestra illumina la zona lavabo arredata con particolare cura. Candele naturali, una specchiera con cornice in legno bianco, una lampada che produce una luce soffusa definiscono un ambiente accogliente. Indovinata la posa del rivestimento, localizzata in porzioni ben individuate, sottolinea i punti focali del bagno: l’area specchio-lavabo e la parete di fondo, dove si trova la doccia, che grazie al blu profondo si “avvicina”, riproporzionando il locale troppo lungo. A clever restoration project has transformed an early twentieth century Milanese house into a charming dwelling fitted out with all mod-cons and enriched by unusual architectural shapes. Antique pieces of furniture blend in with modern elements to create a cosy, intimate atmosphere. The bathroom is the result of a partial modification of the planimetric layout, with the incorporation of a long section of the corridor to form an atypical area behind the bathroom. A window illuminates the washbashin area, which has been furnished with particular attention to detail. Natural candles, a white-framed mirror, and a light giving off soffused lighting all combine to provide a welcoming atmosphere. Just the right wall and floor coverings have been used, and are situated in cleverly targeted sections, highlighting the focal points of the bathroom: the mirror-washbashin area and the back wall where the shower stall is located. Owing to the deep blue, the latter gives the impression of being more “circumscribed”, thus reproportioning this rather elongated room.
