Naturalmente un albergo è organizzato in modo diverso da una casa, ma osservandone l’arredamento con attenzione possiamo scoprire particolari interessanti, spesso molto scenografici che, adeguatamente modificati, possono venire adottati anche in una casa privata.
Naturally a hotel is organised in a different way compared with a house, but if we attentively look at the furnishing, we can discover interesting details, which are often spectacular and if they are changed in the right way, they can be used also in a private home.
BAGNI COME PISCINE
Naturalmente un bagno è ben diverso da una piscina, ma perché non prendere spunto da queste immagini per personalizzare un bagno? Una finestra con vetri a mosaico in vetro e cemento, soprattutto se dotato di apertura a vasistas (con battente fisso sul lato inferiore), può risolvere l’imbarazzo di un bagno collocato a piano terra o che si apre su una casa posta poco distante. Il soggetto potrà essere a tema floreale o richiamare i colori dell’acqua, in questo caso sono realizzate su disegno del pittore grafico Balan. Utilizzare, invece, esclusivamente legno e piastrelle di colore azzurro intenso per il rivestimento di pavimento, pareti e vasca permetterà di ottenere un’atmosfera particolarmente rilassante e fresca. Quando lo spazio a disposizione è sufficientemente ampio, è possibile realizzare un gradino intorno alla vasca che ne faciliti l’accesso e contemporaneamente crei l’illusione di una pozza naturale.
BATHOOMS AS SWIMMING POOLS
Obviously a bathroom is different from swimming pool. But why have we not to copy from this image to customise a bathroom? The window with mosaic glass in glass block framed in concrete, above all if equipped with a fanlight (with shutter in the bot-tom side), can solve the problem of a bathroom located at the ground floor or opening closely in front of another house. The subject could be a floral pattern to recall the colours of the water. In this case they are made upon design of the graphical painter Balan. On the contrary, we can use only wood and sky-blue tiles for the covering of the floor, the walls and the washtub and that will allow to reach a very relaxing and fresh atmosphere. If we have enough space, we can make a step around the tub to make easier the entrance and, at the same time, to create the illusion of a natural basin.
IL CAMINO IN FERRO Avendo eliminato la parete che divideva in due l’ambiente, il camino, realizzato dall’architetto Cosmacini, è diventato il centro della sala, attorno al quale si articolano gli spazi: questa soluzione ha lo svantaggio di adattarsi ad ambienti particolarmente ampi, ma permette di caratterizzare fortemente un locale. Una grande lastra curva ne costituisce la cappa, diversificandolo rispetto ai camini tradizionali locali.
THE FIREPLACE IN IRON As we eliminated the wall dividing the room, the fireplace made by architect Cosmacini became the centre of the room, around which the other spaces are articulated: this solution has the disadvantage to be suitable for very large rooms but allows to strongly customise the room. A large curved plate is the hood, making it different from the local ones.
