The house is located in Sicily, in one of historic town Ragusa’s most charming piazzas. Recently renovated, the young owners of the house have worked in conjunction with the architects to combine traditional materials found in the area with new shapes resulting from innovative living requirements. The two bathrooms in particular are indicative of this marriage betwen traditional materials and new shapes. The walls of the guest bathroom are covered with Comiso stone and wood. A large mirror is used to enlarge the room and to pamper to the guest’s narcissistic needs. The other, more private, bathroom, adjacent to the bedroom, is decorated with small sky-blue tiles and parquet flooring. The clean-cut lines make the bathroom spacious and welcoming, irrespective of whether one wishes to take a stimulating morning shower or relax in the evening after a tiring day.
