Un filo continuo di passioni ha legato questa villa e la sua fattoria negli anni, da quando, nel xix secolo, sono state costruite come pegno d’amore. Oggi sono diventate un accogliente agriturismo che ancora tanto ha da raccontare a chi voglia trascorrere una vacanza nelle verdi colline della sabina.

Per alcune case raccontare storie è un’attitudine naturale, un dono spontaneo. Lasciano parlare gli angoli rigogliosi del giardino, le pareti affrescate, le terrazze affacciate su paesaggi assolati e notti stellate. Questa villa nella Sabina,
Villa Vallerosa, con la sua fattoria, racconta storie rocambolesche, storie di amori infelici e di amori coronati, consumate con passione dal 1800, quando è stata costruita da un architetto veneziano come pegno d’amore per la sua amata. Non molto tempo dopo, però, per mantenere la sua costosa passione per i cavalli e per pagare i numerosi debiti che la dama
aveva accumulato, l’uomo è stato costretto, a malincuore, a venderla.

Alla fine del 1800, la villa passò in mano a una famosa cantante soprano, innamorata di un giovane ufficiale. I due si erano conosciuti molto giovani promettendosi di sposarsi al più presto. La donna in breve tempo era diventata famosa, guadagnando abbastanza per acquistare la villa e trasformarla nel loro rifugio d’amore. Da allora è passata di generazione in generazione, fino ad arrivare agli attuali proprietari. Nel tempo ha subito inevitabili modifiche, così come
la fattoria. Oggi sono ospitali residenze al centro di un territorio agricolo che produce olio e verdure, sede anche di un attrezzato allevamento di cavalli.

Nelle stanze da bagno i fasti antichi si lasciano ammirare nelle volte, affrescate a motivi floreali. Elementi d’arredo di una volta, come le luci ad applique in stile primi ‘900 e i tipici lavabi di campagna in legno e marmo concorrono a riportare indietro nel tempo.

The interior of the villa and farm, despite renovations, has remained almost unchanged and balances country-style with elegance using low arches in facing brick, and vaults decorated with delicate frescoes.
