Nelle strutture architettoniche con pietre in vista come questa antica torre medioevale, la scala, se fatta nuova durante una ristrutturazione “creativa”, la si può progettare nello stesso stile del manufatto preesistente. Quindi la si fa in muratura, poggiata su archi di mattoni pieni nello stile antico, con i gradini in cotto come il pavimento, e infine l’intonaco bianco per uniformare il tutto. Dentro ai fornici creati dagli archi si possono mettere dei mobiletti o dei comodi ripiani.
In architectural structures with exposed stone walls like this antique medieval tower, the staircase if newly built let’s say during a “creative” restoration, could be designed with the same style. Therefore it can be in masonry, built onto full-brick arches in the antique style, with steps in terracotta like the floors and, to finish off, white plastered walls to harmonize the whole setting. Inside the barrel-vaults we could place small pieces of furniture or some useful shelves.
Rustica in campagna
In un bellissimo complesso rustico nella campagna senese, la scala è un blocco centrale, contornato dall’arco in mattoni. Interessante anche il soffitto a voltine.
In a fine-looking rustic complex in the Sienese countryside, the staircase is a central block surrounded by a brick arch. The vaulted ceiling is also very appealing.

1. UN SOPPALCO SOTTO LA CUPOLA. Interessante soluzione di tetto ligneo a cupola, realizzata con il Metodo Balken di Damiani Legnami. Ogni progetto di questa azienda, ideato su misura, viene definito in ogni minimo dettaglio al computer, ciò permette di garantire l’esatta corrispondenza tra progetto e realizzazione.

Scala d’artista
Una scala scultura, in legno, ferro e lastre di cristallo, creata da Gianni Ruffi, porta ad un piccolo soppalco e alla zona notte. La balaustra richiama i rimbalzi di una palla.
A sculpture staircase created by Gianni Ruffi, in wood, iron and sheet glass, leads to a little intermediate floor and to the bedroom area. The balusters recall the bouncing of a ball.

SCALA E SOPPALCO. Le scale sono sempre state un arricchimento estetico ed anche un utilissimo supporto funzionale per l’arredamento. La ditta Fratelli Marinelli realizza ogni tipo di scale: in lamiera pressopiegata, con montante centrale e gradini a vista, con gradini autoportanti sporgenti da parete, scale a chiocciola. Realizza anche corrimano e balaustre. Su richiesta sono forniti gradini in legno oppure in marmo e varie soluzioni di verniciatura. L’intera gamma di scale è realizzata solo su misura. Molto interessante, nella foto, anche il soppalco con parapetto e corrimano in un solare colore giallo a contrasto.

2., 3. MINIMO INGOMBRO. Quando lo spazio utilizzabile per la scala è minimo, la soluzione ideale è questa: “Miniron” di Rintal ha gradini di una particolare forma sagomata che rende possibile lo sviluppo della scala occupando una superficie molto inferiore a quella di una scala normale.

Nella grande villa di Rosario Messina, presidente della Flou, l’ingresso è dominato dall’ampio scalone in marmo (che riprende il bianco/nero del pavimento), arricchito ulteriormente da una bella ringhiera in ferro battuto con leggero decoro.
In the large villa of Rosario Messina, President of Flou, the hallway is dominated by the wide grand staircase in marble (matching the black and white flooring), furthermore enriched by a beautiful railing in wrought iron with subtle decorations.
