Le insolite silhouettes del ferro

Nata per sfatare il mito del ferro battuto tradizionale, l’azienda epòke racchiude nel suo slogan "l’insolito nel ferro" lo spirito delle sue realizzazioni. Dal design elegante e sinuoso, il letto "Centosessantotto" (sopra) è disponibile con contenitore, di grande utilità per risparmiare spazio. Accanto al letto trova posto il comodino con struttura in ferro a sezione tonda e il piano in cristallo incassato. La poltroncina "Sessantaquattro" (a sinistra) ha una struttura leggera ed è disponibile con diverse imbottiture. Una libreria dalle linee davvero insolite e delicate è il modello "Cinquantasette", con piani in cristallo acidato.
Epòke realizza anche lampade e porta candele, come gli articoli "Sessantuno" e "Quarantotto": il primo accosta al
ferro il paralume in cotone e il secondo è formato da un’unico stelo sinuoso.

Elegant Furniture

With its elegant and sinuous design, the bed ‘Centossessantotto’ (above) is available with a container that proves very
useful for space saving. The bedside table has a light iron rounded structure with inset crystal top. The small armchair ‘Sessantaquattro’ (left) has a light structure and is available with various types of padding. A bookcase with really unusual and delicate lines is the ‘Cinquantasette’ model, with frosted crystal shelves. Epòke also makes lamps and candleholders, such as ‘Sessantuno’ and ‘Quarantotto’. The first uses iron and a cotton lampshade, and the second is made of a single sinuous stand.

Un nome appropriato

Derivato dal greco, Epòke significa letteralmente "fermare un periodo, sospendere". In senso filosofico Epòke si riassume in "sospendi il tuo giudizio prima di avere visto" ed è il nome più indicato per un’azienda che considera il ferro battuto come un materiale in continua evoluzione, per niente scontato e sempre attuale.

An appropriate name

Derived from the Greek, Epòke literally means ‘to close a period, to suspend’. In its philosophical sense it can be summarised as ‘hold your judgement until you have seen’. It is the most appropriate name for a company that considers wrought iron to be a material in continuous evolution, by no means taken for granted, and always present.
