Attic spaces come most into contact with the exterior and are also the highest part of the building.
They represent an unmissable opportunity for city dwellers, who are all too often closed in by surrounding buildings.

For city dwellers, living in an attic has two advantages: you are separated from the condominium (flat owners are no longer seen or heard) and the panorama is all yours.
Having made this existential decision, you have to reckon with a space that has a strong and pleasant vertical accentuation that might however lead to problems where the roof is at its lowest.
In the city, with regards furniture, you are not as conditioned by the setting as you might be in the countryside; you can do whatever you please and the attic is sure to welcome it.
Architects love attics because they feel free to multiply effects.
For them, the ideal is to have a high and spacious attic in which to insert galleries, stairwells, interesting perspectives and light effects.
Given that attics are by definition ‘different’, modern or even very modern furniture will suit them perfectly, alternatively this can be eclectic or decidedly classical.
What is important is that the city attic should not be non-descript or, worse still, it should not attempt (for the sake of conformity) to hide its real nature.
Let it be a graphic interplay of beams joists with open vertical screens at the centre: far better to feel confident about your choice by making the most of its features.
You need to feel you are one of the few privileged attic dwellers for whom the sloping roof is your banner.
