TESTIMONIANZE SULL’ABBATTIMENTO DEGLI ALBERI E SUI GIORNI PER DISSODARE

– Per abbattere gli alberi e fare in modo che il legno rimanga duro e «come incollato», vanno bene i primi otto giorni dopo il novilunio di dicembre, in un segno morbido.
Legno per utensili, per mobilia, faggi e così via vanno tagliati in luna nuova e nello Scorpione.
– Per tagliare alberi il cui legno poi non marcisca, è opportuno scegliere gli ultimi due giorni nel mese di marzo nei Pesci discendenti
– Per tagliare legno che poi non bruci c’è solo un giorno: il 1° marzo, meglio se dopo il tramonto
– Per tagliare il legno che poi non cali, è bene scegliere il terzo giorno in autunno, all’iniziodell’autunno il 24 settembre, quando la luna ha tre giorni e in un giorno della donna, seguito dal Cancro.
– Far legna da ardere affinché ricresca bene, in ottobre, nel primo quarto di luna crescente. ….

EVIDENCES ON TREES FELLING AND THE DAYS SUITABLE TO TILL

– In order to fell trees in order to keep wood hard and “as cemented” the first eight days after December new moon are the ideal.
Wood for tools, furniture, beech-trees and so on must be felled during the new moon and within the Scorpion sign.
– To fell trees in order that wood will not rot one must choose the last two days of March in the descending Pisces sign.
– To cut woods in order that it does not burn there is only a day: the 1st March, better if after the sunset
– To cut wood in order that it will not lower the ideal is to choose the third day in autumn; autumn starts on September 24, when the moon is three days old and in a women day followed from Cancer.
– To cut wood for the fire, in order that it will regrow. In the first quarter of waxing moon …

Saper scegliere il legno adatto è importante anche per gli artigiani che lavorano questo straordinario materiale per costruire mobili e realizzare sculture. Waldegger Josef, un artigiano austriaco di Nauders (pittoresco paesino del comprensorio del passo Resia), ci ha spiegato che si procura lui stesso il legno adatto per i suoi lavori durante l’inverno. In questa stagione, infatti, gli alberi “dormono”.
Being able to choose wood is very important also for artisans, who are working this extraordinary material to make furniture and realize sculptures. XXXXX, an Austrian artisan from Nauders (picturesque village that is part of Resia pass district), explained us that he personally searches for the suitable wood for his work during winter. In that season, in fact, trees are “sleeping”.
Il calendario lunare
Sono sempre più numerose le pubblicazioni che trattano dell’influenza delle fasi lunari sulla vita di tutti giorni. Secondo alcuni, il momento dell’abbattimento di un albero può influenzare le caratteristiche del legno che se ne ricaverà. Appare evidente l’importanza di poter limitare, se non addirittura eliminare, i problemi conseguenti all’attacco di funghi ed insetti, alle contrazioni tipiche di questo materiale ed alla sua infiammabilità senza dover ricorrere a trattamenti che spesso si rivelano nocivi per la salute dell’uomo. Le regole sull’abbattimento degli alberi in funzione delle fasi lunari non sono, però, da considerarsi universali in quanto numerosi altri fattori (quali il clima, la posizione geografica e gli inevitabili interessi economici) contribuiscono a determinare il momento più adatto per l’abbattimento degli alberi.
Lunar Calendar
Magazines claim that the influence of lunar phases in everyday life is increasingly more. Someone believes that tree felling can affect wood features. It is clear the importance to limit, if not even eliminate, the problems deriving from the attack of mushrooms and insects, from wood natural contractions and from its flammability without choosing treatments that often are harmful for men health. The rules in force concerning trees felling following lunar phases cannot be considered as universal because there are numerous other elements (such as weather, geographic location and economical interests) that affect the decision of the more suitable moment to fell trees.
