In questo volume l'Autore elogia l'anonimo lavoro di centinaia di “Indoratori“ che produssero veri e propri capolavori con le sottilissime foglie d'oro. A completamento del mobile entravano anche i maestri dello specchio e del vetro fuso. Complesse le tecniche di lavorazione della pasta vitrea ma anche quella degli specchieri che aumentano a dismisura le lastre rendendole sempre più terse. Un cenno infine al ruolo dei tappezzieri con stoffe di seta, damaschi e carte da parati. |

In this section the author eulogizes the anonymous
work of hundreds of Doratori (gilders) that produced
true works of art with thin gold leaves. Masters of mirrors and of fused glass were also part of the world of furnishings, which included the complex techniques of glass and mirrors that augmented the excess of the plates rendering them clearer. An infinite sign of the role of the Tappezzieri (tapestry makers) with silk fabrics, damask fabrics, and tapestry paper. |
