Qui si ricostruiscono le vicende dell'arte
dei "Depentori", così importante nella qualificazione del mobile veneziano. E' con il trionfo della moda della "laccatura" che il depentore acquisisce maggiore importanza, tanto da appellarsi "pittore alla chinese" e sempre incline a virtuosismi come l'unione delle superfici laccate con gli andamenti curvilinei degli intagli. Nell'ultima parte si descrivono le complicate fasi esecutive di questa tecnica imperante in tutta l'Europa del '700. |

The author reconstructs the situation of the art of the
Depentori, so important in the
qualification of Venetian furniture. With the triumph of the lacquered style, the Depentori acquired more important, so much so, as to be called “painters in the Chinese style,” always inclined to virtue like the union of enamel with the curved progress of engravings. The last part describes the complicated phases of this style found throughout Europe in the 18th century. |
