Premessa dell’editore

Collana d'antiquariato che riprende per temi la pubblicazione monografica "Il mobile Veneziano del '700” di Giuseppe Morazzoni Bestetti&Tuminelli, 1927. L'opera in sei volumi è arricchita da interviste e ricerche fatte in Venezia presso i più importanti musei nel 2005. Abbiamo voluto raccontare in queste pagine un momento della storia di Venezia. Questo è uno dei racconti dell’uomo (il marangone il falegname di Venezia) della sua genialità ed operosità. L’uomo attraverso la maestria delle sue mani ha creato pezzi unici. In questi mobili c’è l’impronta di un gesto, di una vita. Questi mobili, poltrone, cornici sono specchio e testimonianza dell’Unicità dell’Uomo; in questo sta il valore del Patrimonio dei nostri Beni Culturali: c’è Lui, l’uomo di ieri che ancora oggi vive ed è presente solo riscoprendo, promuovendo la conoscenza e tutelando la sua opera. Mi auguro di aver dato ai nostri lettori la vera chiave di lettura del nostro lavoro editoriale.

Necklace of antique dealing that resumes for topics the monographic publication "The Venezian piece furniture of the '700” of Giuseppe Morazzoni Bestetti&Tuminelli, 1927. The work in six volumes is enriched from interviews and searches made in Venice near the more important museums in 2005. Through these pages, I wish to narrate a particular moment in the history of Venice. This is one of the tales of humankind (the marangone – the carpenter of Venice), its geniality and industry. Man, through the mastery of his hands, has created unique pieces. This furniture
bears the mark of character, life. These furnishings, armchairs, frames, are the mirror and witness of the Uniqueness of Mankind; here lies the value of the Patrimony of our Cultural Goods. He is there, yesterday man, still alive and present only through discovery, the promotion of knowledge and the protection of his work. I wish I gave our readers the true reading key for our editorial work.
