In Liguria a Spotorno Non era semplice trasformare una terrazza,
che di bello aveva solo il panorama,
in un’accogliente cucina all’aperto
con tavolo dove consumare direttamente
i pasti quando il tempo lo permette.
La cucina in muratura era l’unica
che si prestava a fare corpo unico nell’angolo
tra pavimento e pareti. È bastato
realizzarla nei materiali utilizzati in
tutta la casa (il luminoso cotto provenzale
e le piastrelle color cobalto), alternando |

Per rendere più gradevole lo stare in cucina e il pranzare vicino ai fornelli, l’architetto Sergio Ratto di Genova ha attrezzato il terrazzo con una colorata cucina in muratura. |

Converting this terrace into a
welcoming outdoor kitchen, with a
table for eating meals when time allowed, was no easy matter. All it had going for it was the view. A masonry kitchen was the only possibility for creating a single corner unit between the floor and the walls. The materials used throughout the house were also used here (bright Provençal terracotta and cobalt blue tiles), with a clever alternation of surfaces that creates a pleasant and sturdy-looking ensemble. |
