Un mondo incantato: la Val di Fiemme ha il sorriso disteso dei dolci declivi pieni di luce e i monti che la attorniano salgono senza incombere mentre con la loro massa sembrano offrire l’opportunità di raggiungere il cielo. Qui arredare
una casa significa creare un ambiente caldo e riparato, ma allo stesso tempo aperto, come una postazione privilegiata da cui godere il panorama senza sentirsene estranei.
La boiserie è una scelta che sembra naturale, immediata: il fatto di trovarsi in Trentino, dove l'artigianato del legno è fiorente e capace, non solo aiuta ma invita. E con la boiserie si sviluppa la distribuzione strategica delle finestre, per
mantenere il contatto con la natura.

The Val di Fiemme is an enchanted land of sunny glades and mountains all around that gently reach for the sky.
Furnishing a house here means creating a warm and sheltered setting, where you can enjoy the view from a privileged vantage point without feeling alien. The use of boiserie was both a natural and spontaneous decision because Trentino's flourishing carpentry trade is both helpful and inspiring.
With boiserie, there is a strategic distribution of windows so that contact with nature can be maintained.

Le tre finestre allineate e i varchi interni sempre aperti rendono particolarmente luminosi gli ambienti. Il legno è trattato con vernici all’acqua di tonalità chiara e brillante. Il camino, pur di generose dimensioni, si integra nell’ambiente con logica priva di contrasti.
Le doghe di abete sono disposte come a riecheggiare le costruzioni a “blockbau”, di cui qui si respira lo stesso senso di solidità.

The row of three windows and the open interior passageways fill the rooms with light. The wood has been treated with waterbased varnishes in a gloss finish. Despite its large size, the fireplace is perfectly suited to its setting.
The way in which the fir-wood planks are arranged brings to mind the 'blockbau' building system; the same feeling of sturdiness can also be felt in this home.

I rivestimenti in legno possono essere interpretati con sensibilità
decisamente contemporanea.
Offriranno comunque ambienti che superano le angustie di un’epoca,
nell’universalità di un materiale senza tempo.

Lo snodo tra zona pranzo e cucina. Nel soggiorno campeggia il camino in muratura con profili in legno massiccio.
L’accostarsi del televisore nella nicchia risulta gradevole, sotto gli scaffali per libri che fanno da ala alla grande cappa.

Un accostarsi di modernità e tradizione,
che si alimentano delle temperature cromatiche della materia

In questa casa, situata nei pressi di Cavalese, l’organizzazione dello spazio interno è stata pensata come una naturale continuazione dell’ambiente tradizionale montano, ed è conformata in modo da rispondere alle esigenze della vita familiare.
Il legno è stato riscoperto nella sua valenza di materia dotata di capacità espressiva intrinseca e totale.
I listoni di larice sul pavimento e di abete massello alle pareti si allineano come a scandire le progressioni spaziali in una continuità non interrotta, che resta però definita dalle cornici in rilievo nella parte superiore dei muri e agli spigoli delle aperture, così che ne risulti una sorta di trama strutturale che sottolinea i momenti di forza della casa. Tali cornici appaiono quasi come lesene.

In this house, located near Cavalese, the interior arrangement of space is a natural continuation of the traditional mountain home, and it has been designed to meet the needs of family life.The full expressive potential of wood has been used here.
Larch wood planks on the floor and solid fir wood for the walls create an uninterrupted space, defined only by a relief moulding at the top of the walls and around openings to underline the structural framework of the house; door mouldings look almost like pilasters.
The marked material presence of the door frames makes them look almost like square pilasters or beams, such is their communicative power, despite being only in slight relief.
In fact the openings do not seem to require any additional elements such as doors or shutters.

Le finestre con intelaiatura a croce sono una delle cifre architettoniche
del Rinascimento: riproporle in un contesto dominato dal legno contribuisce
a esaltare la misura e la razionalità dell’edificio.

La loro marcata presenza materica ne fa quasi delle paraste, o delle travi: tale è la loro forza comunicativa, pur nella limitatezza del loro risalto.
Infatti le aperture sembrano non abbisognare di ulteriori elementi a corredo, quali le porte o i battenti: hanno una definizione di evidenza tale che alle finestre bastano delle cortine scorrevoli su barre in ferro battuto per smorzare la luce e ritrarsi dalla visione del panorama per chiudere con discrezione i locali alla vista esterna; neppure agli usci interni
servono ante a chiusura. La geometrica possanza delle pareti lignee, la loro decisa presenza che ricorda la figura delle costruzioni a “blockbau”, fanno sì che l’atmosfera rimandi un poco a quella quieta e ordinata delle antiche baite. Sulle pareti e nelle aperture si manifesta, con analoga importanza, una simile, solida verità materica. Sul soffitto invece la
boiserie ha un andamento più classico: una partitura a quadri disegnata da un rilievo modanato si muove secondo registri più agili, così da evitare il senso della pesantezza.
La continuità delle superfici lignee non si arresta neppure in uno snodo cruciale come quello del camino: qui, piuttosto, essa trova l’occasione di articolarsi in modo complesso.

Nel passaggio tra ambiente per il pranzo e la cucina sono in rilievo le linee e gli angoli retti che formano la trama compositiva dell’insieme.
Le armadiature della cucina (come degli altri ambienti) sono realizzate su misura dalla bottega del legno Cirè di Pergine Valsugana.

The passage from dining room to kitchen sets off the lines and right angles that are the underlying theme of the home.

The windows are so clearly defined that small curtains suffice; they hang on wrought-iron bars and are used to soften the light and take a step back from the view of the panorama so as to close off the rooms from the exterior with discretion; not even the interior door openings require doors.
The geometric rigour of the wooden parts, in addition to their marked presence that brings to mind 'blockbau' constructions, creates an atmosphere that has echoes of quiet and ordered mountain chalets.
This solid material authenticity can be seen, with equal importance, on the walls and in the openings.
The ceiling uses boiserie with a more classical design consisting of squares made from relief mouldings that do not weigh down on the overall effect.

IL CALORE DEL LEGNO SANO E NATURALE

OGGI, QUANDO SI PARLA DI CAMBIAMENTI CLIMATICI DOVUTI ALL’INQUINAMENTO E CRESCE LA SENSIBILITÀ PER L’AMBIENTE, SI RICHIEDE CHE TALE PREOCCUPAZIONE SI RIVOLGA ANCHE ALLA CASA, DOVE LE FONTI INQUINANTI SONO MOLTEPLICI: TRA QUESTE ANCHE VERNICI E COLORANTI SINTETICI, CHE POSSONO RECARE DANNI ALLA SALUTE. GLI ARTIGIANI PIÙ SERI SI FANNO SCRUPOLO DI FORNIRE MOBILI DI LEGNO NATURALE, NON COMPROMESSO DA VERNICI INSALUBRI. LA TRADIZIONE SUGGERISCE DI AGIRE COME UNA VOLTA, QUANDO MOBILI E RIVESTIMENTI IN LEGNO ERANO PROTETTI SOLO DA UN LEGGERO STRATO DI CERA D’API O DI PARAFFINA: COSÌ IL LEGNO MANTIENE INALTERATA LA SUA ORIGINALE BELLEZZA E NON PERDE IL SUO PROFUMO, CHE AVVOLGE DELICATAMENTE TUTTA LA CASA. IN QUESTA IMMAGINE, LA BOISERIE E IL GRANDE ARMADIO A SCRIVANIA SONO IN LEGNI DI DUE TONALITÀ: IL PAVIMENTO IN ROVERE PIÙ SCURO, E IL MOBILE A PARETE IN ABETE AUSTRIACO PIÙ CHIARO, PER OTTENERE UN GRADEVOLE EFFETTO DI LUMINOSITÀ; TUTTO LAVORATO A MANO E PRIVO DI SOSTANZE TOSSICHE. “Cosy” è un termine inglese che significa “accogliente”, “comodo”, “confortevole”, “intimo”:
qualità che si addicono alla camera da letto, e che la boiserie porta alla massima espressività.

I locali per la notte: la camera matrimoniale e quella per gli ospiti, che gode di un accesso proprio.
Il bagno si presenta come parete attrezzata, ricca di alloggiamenti e funzionale

Nel camino lo zoccolo in rilievo si dispone in modo speculare alla mensola superiore e offre lo spunto per i ripiani che affiancano la cappa, rigorosamente in legno.
Nei bagni e nelle camere da letto la boiserie mantiene la sua disposizione secondo una trama nella quale si inseriscono gli elementi funzionali, in appoggio o in alloggiamento.
Risalta la particolare soluzione trovata per la camera degli ospiti, in cui al letto matrimoniale si affianca un letto a castello: una famiglia intera può trovarvi posto. Mentre le finestre, che negli altri ambienti sono quadrate con telaio a croce, qui diventano di forma rettangolare, quasi a riprendere il motivo delle aperture a nastro, mentre sotto di esse un lungo tavolo con cassetti addossato alla parete si presenta come luogo adatto allo studio.
È un esempio di come la funzionalità di trasformi in eleganza, di come, dall’analisi delle opportunità di utilizzo degli ambienti, nascano risposte che acquistano valore estetico. Si tratta di un’architettura di interni che non indulge in esercizi formali o in invenzioni ad effetto: è stata scelta la strada della comodità vocata alla soluzione del problema concreto della quotidianità, per una casa che abita una delle più splendide vallate del Trentino. Le doghe in abete compongono una partitura ordinata, sulla quale si dispiega con facilità la melodia della vita in famiglia.

ITINERARI: CAVALESE E LA VAL DI FIEMME CENTRO AMMINISTRATIVO DELLA VAL DI FIEMME, CAVALESE È SITUATO AL 1000 METRI DI ALTEZZA. È UNA LOCALITÀ TURISTICA FREQUENTATA IN INVERNO PER LE VICINE PISTE SCIISTICHE DEL COMPRENSORIO DELLA CATENA MONTUOSA DEL LAGORAI: DEL LATEMAR, DEL CERMIS, DELL’AFFASCINANTE GRUPPO BELLAMONTE - ALPE LUSIA, E ANCHE DEL PASSO LAVAZÈ - OCLINI CHE ASSIEME RAGGIUNGONO UN’ESTENSIONE DI OLTRE 100 KM. SONO MOLTO APPREZZATE LE PISTE DI SCI NORDICO: PROPRIO A CAVALESE SI TROVA L’ARRIVO DELLA “MARCIALONGA”, UNA DELLE PRINCIPALI MANIFESTAZIONI DI QUESTA DISCIPLINA SPORTIVA. E’ MOLTO PRATICATO ANCHE L’HOCKEY SU GHIACCIO E D’ESTATE LA LOCALITÀ OFFRE PAESAGGI DI GRANDE SUGGESTIONE E TRANQUILLITÀ. ADAGIATO SULLA PARTE TERMINALE DEL TERRAZZO FLUVIO-GLACIALE DELLA VALLE, CAVALESE OFFRE LA VISTA DI SPLENDIDI PANORAMI. NON MANCANO LE TESTIMONIANZE STORICO-CULTURALI, COME LA CHIESA DELL’ASSUNTA E IL SANTUARIO DELL’ADDOLORATA.

Wooden surfaces find continuity even with such a central element as the fireplace: in fact it is an opportunity for an even more complex application.
The base beam of the fireplace mirrors that of the mantelpiece and provides a cue for the shelves on either side of the chimney, strictly in wood.
In the bathrooms and bedroom, boiserie is arranged to accommodate functional elements that are either wall-mounted or built-in.
Of particular interest in the guest room is the double bed next to a bunk-bed, which can be used to accommodate an entire family.
By contrast the windows, which in the other rooms are square with a cross frame, here are rectangular and repeat the idea of a strip opening; underneath them a long table with drawers built along the wall is the perfect place for study.
This is an example of how function turns into elegance and how, by analysing the potential of rooms, attractive ideas emerge.
This interior architecture steers clear of the idea of design for effect.
It prefers a practical solution to everyday problems in a house located in one of the most attractive valleys of Trentino.
Fir wood planks create an ordered setting for relaxed family life.
